Na sjevernom dijelu Istre, iznad doline rijeke Mirne, na čunjastom brdu koji se nalazi na 277 metara nadmorske visine, smjestio se vjerojatno najpoznatiji i najatraktivniji istarski srednjovjekovni gradić - Motovun. Steinhaus mit Blick auf Motovun

Im nördlichen Teil Istriens, über dem Tal des Flusses Mirna, auf einem kegelförmigen Hügel, der sich auf 277 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel befindet, befindet sich wahrscheinlich die berühmteste und attraktivste mittelalterliche Stadt Istriens - Motovun.
