Na sjevernom dijelu Istre, iznad doline rijeke Mirne, na čunjastom brdu koji se nalazi na 277 metara nadmorske visine, smjestio se vjerojatno najpoznatiji i najatraktivniji istarski srednjovjekovni gradić - Motovun. Gradić je i danas sačuvao srednjovjekovni izgled. Sam grad podijeljen je na tri dijela, a njegova su specifičnost dva reda zidina. U Motovunu se nalaze Trg Andrea Antia i Trg Josefa Ressela koji je zamišljen kao vidikovac te s njega pruža pogled na prekrasne pejzaže. Do grada vodi najduže stubište u Hrvatskoj sa 1052 stube. Osim brojnih kulturnopovijesnih znamenitosti, Motovun i njegova okolica mogu se pohvaliti brojnim vinogradima i poznatim vinarima, rekreativnim sadržajima koje omogućuju aktivan odmor. Motovunska šuma stanište je istarskog tartufa, a najpoznatija manifestacija je Motovun film festival.

U samom centru Motovuna smjestila se kuća površine 250 m2. Kuća je raspoređena na pet etaža od kojih svaka ima 50 m2. Kuća se sastoji od šest prostorija, od kojih su dvije spavaće sobe. Dvije veće prostorije nalaze se u potkrovlju kuće koje se također mogu urediti kao dvije funkcionalne prostorije. U suterenu se nalazi konoba obložena kamenom. Iz konobe je izlaz na terasu veličine 40 m2. Zahvaljujući velikom broju prozora,kuća ima dosta svjetla i s nje se pruža prekrasan pogled na okolni krajolik. Objekt je potrebno adaptirati.

In Motovun gibt es den Andrea-Antia-Platz und den Josef-Ressel-Platz, der als Aussichtspunkt konzipiert ist und einen Blick auf wunderschöne Landschaften bietet. Die längste Treppe Kroatiens führt mit 1052 Stufen in die Stadt. Neben zahlreichen kulturellen und historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten bietet Motovun und seine Umgebung zahlreiche Weinberge und berühmte Winzer, Freizeiteinrichtungen, die eine aktive Erholung ermöglichen.
