The settlement and the center of the municipality was built next to the medieval castle, today one of the best-preserved Istrian castles, and lies along the southwestern edge of Čepićko polje. The newer part of the settlement is located at the crossroads of the roads to Labin, and through the Učka tunnel, to Rijeka.

Die Siedlung und das Zentrum der Gemeinde wurden neben der mittelalterlichen Burg, heute eine der am besten erhaltenen istrischen Burgen, errichtet und liegen am südwestlichen Rand von Čepićko polje.
