Osobjava is a village on the Pelješac peninsula, Municipality of Janjina, Dubrovnik-Neretva County in the Republic of Croatia. Starting from the beautiful valley, Osobjava stretches southeast towards the interior of Pelješac with its 5 hamlets: Kudinovići, Bezekovići, Jurinovići, Palaškotići and Vekovići. On the southern side above Osobjava rises the Rota hill, which in the winter months keeps the village in the shade for most of the day. This phenomenon is not so pronounced in the summer months. It is said that Osobjava got its name from the shade (Osoja vala), which changed over time to Osobljava and today's name Osobjava. The coast is quite steep and rocky, but despite the karst, lush vegetation directly above the sea gives it a unique appearance. Looking north, Osobjava offers a view of the Port of Ploče and the mouth of the Neretva River.
