Mjesto Vid nalazi se 3 km sjeverozapadno od Metkovića, uz cestu koja vodi od Metkovića prema Ljubuškom u BiH. Nastalo je na ruševinama antičke Narone. The town of Vid is located 3 km northwest of Metković, along the road that leads from Metković to Ljubuški in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was created on the ruins of ancient Narona. The town is bent around a small hill surrounded by the river Norin (the people call it Norilj), which rises in Pruda from underground springs and flows into the Neretva near Kula Norinska. On the entire southern, and partly on the eastern and western sides of the hill is the "realm" of reeds and sedges. Part of these wetlands has been landscaped and is used as agricultural land. After the fall of Narona (during the 7th century), there are no written traces throughout history of the continuity of the settlement in that place. . One of the most famous unique finds next to the church itself is the early Christian baptistery from the 5th century, with an exceptionally well-preserved octagonal baptismal font.

Die Stadt Vid liegt 3 km nordwestlich von Metković an der Straße, die von Metković nach Ljubuški in Bosnien und Herzegowina führt. Es wurde auf den Ruinen des antiken Narona errichtet.
