Kanfanar takes over the role of the municipal center at the beginning of the 18th century. Discovering the beauty of Kanfanar, you cannot bypass the many sacred monuments and the most important cultural monument of the zero category - the medieval city of Dvigrad, which is dominated by the remains of the Romanesque basilica as well as the legends about the unfound treasure of the British pirate Captain Morgan or Drago, an area of fertile arable land, wooded slopes and Mediterranean plants and Romuald's cave, the habitat of three thousand bats or the Lim channel, a protected nature reserve.
